We invite professionals and entrepreneurs to volunteer three hours of their time on Saturday, 10 June and 17 June 2017 at one of two high schools respectively.
Since 2013, SAPNA has been involved in capacity building and empowerment of Grade 12 learners by providing much needed career guidance, life skills, motivation and mentorship that will see them make informed career decisions as they leave high school and transition into further and higher education.
This year, SAPNA in collaboration with professionals-in-practice across various business fields and functions, entrepreneurs and educational institutions are offering a robust programme under the sub-theme CAREERS AND CAREER CHOICES found in the school’s Life Orientation curriculum for Grade 12.
SAPNA continues to partner with Malaste Motsepe and Fons Luminis high schools to create awareness, deeper understanding of professional careers and to empower learners with the required knowledge and skills on how to gain access and be successful in chosen careers. Many learners lack positive role models and opportunities to engage professionals directly. Through this partnership, SAPNA aims to close this gap by bringing volunteer professionals to the schools to take part in the youth outreach programme.
